Under new leadership, the Alliance Area Family YMCA decided to end the charter with Y of the USA and reorganize under the name, Alliance Recreation Center, paying homage to the group of dreamers who started it all. Today, the Alliance Recreation Center maintains a 501c3 nonprofit status and keeps 100% of the community’s monetary support  local.
